  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 3/4 c. raisins
  • 3/4 c. chopped dates
  • 6 to 8 sliced cherries
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Cream the sugar, applesauce, Crisco and eggs.

    Add dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in your fruits and baking soda. Bake in a 350° oven for 60 minutes, using a 10-inch tube pan. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
