- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 jar apricot preserves
Directions

1In large bowl, cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs; mix well. In separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder.

3Gradually add to butter mixture.

4Add coconut, walnuts and vanilla.

5Mix thoroughly.

6Press 2/3 of dough into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

7Spread preserves on dough.

8Crumble remaining dough on preserves.

9Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.

10Cool and cut into squares.
