Graham Cracker Squares

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded coconut
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Mix together first 3 ingredients and spread in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake 10 minutes in a 350° oven.

    In same bowl (don't bother to wash) mix eggs, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, coconut and nuts.

    Spread mixture on first layer and bake another 20 minutes at 350°.

    Cut in squares when cool (small squares). Batch can be doubled and baked in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
