- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. butter or oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 2 c. apricot preserves (18 oz. jar)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Sift first 3 ingredients into a bowl; set aside.

3Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

4Add nuts, coconut and flour mixture.

5Mix until well blended.

6Press 3/4 of the mixture in the bottom of a 10 x 15-inch baking pan.

7Spread jam over mixture.

8Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.

9Bake 25 to 30 minutes.

10Cool and cut in bars.
