- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 c. apricot nectar
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.

2Cream shortening and sugar, creaming well.

3Blend in eggs and egg yolks.

4Beat one minute, then add 1/4 of dry ingredients.

5Mix well.

6Blend in milk. Combine apricot nectar and lemon extract and add alternately with remaining dry ingredients to greased mixture.

7Blend thoroughly. Pour into 3 greased, floured pans.

8Bake about 25 minutes in 350° oven.
