- 2 c. chopped, dried apricots
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Pour 1 cup boiling water over apricots.

2Let stand 15 minutes. Cream together shortening and sugar.

3Add eggs and mix well.

4Now add apricot mixture.

5Add flour, salt and soda.

6Mix well.
-
7Add walnuts.
-
8Pour into two greased bread tins.

9Bake 1 hour in a 325° to 350° oven.
