  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. oleo
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/3 c. apricot nectar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. apricot preserves
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 c. pecans

Directions

    Mix together, adding the preserves and nuts last.

    Bake in tube pan or 2 loaf pans at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done when tested with a toothpick.

    If the toothpick comes out clean, the bread is done.
