  • 4 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 can water
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 c. raw regular rice

Directions

    Fry bacon pieces.

    Add butter; saute onion pieces until golden brown.

    Add rice; saute 3 minutes.

    Put in a 2-quart casserole dish.

    Add consomme and water.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serves 6 to 8.
