- 1 onion, chopped
- 1-inch ginger root, sliced
- chicken pieces
- 2 c. rice
- 12 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. patis (fish sauce)
- green onions for garnish
Directions

1In a large pot or wok, saute garlic, onions and ginger root. Brown chicken (skin removed, if desired).

2Add rice and 12 cups water.

3Season with patis or fish sauce.

4Cook until rice is done; it will be soupy.
