- buttermilk
- 1 lemon
- flour
- 2 c. pancake mix
- 2 1/2 c. club soda
Directions

1Soak fish in just enough buttermilk to cover.

2Refrigerate in covered container with 1 lemon sliced over it for 2 to 3 hours to remove fishy taste.

3Heat 1 1/2 pints oil in heavy 2 1/2-quart saucepan.

4Drain off milk.

5Cut fillets in half and dredge in white flour.
