Ingredients
- 2 cans artichoke hearts
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 6 cans clear chicken broth
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 tsp. pepper and thyme
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 egg yolks, beaten
- 2 c. half and half cream
Directions

1Saute onions and celery in butter.

2Add flour.

3Cook a little, but add chicken broth, lemon juice, thyme, bay leaf and artichokes; salt and pepper.

4Cover.

5Simmer 20 minutes.

6Remove from heat; add beaten egg and cream.
