Asparagus Canapes

  • 1 can Green Giant asparagus spears
  • 1 loaf thin sliced bread
  • 8 oz. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. mayo
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 stick melted butter

Directions

    Cut crust from bread.

    Roll bread thin with rolling pin. Spread with mixture of cheese, mayo and egg.

    Place 1 stalk of asparagus at end of each slice of bread.

    Roll up and cut into 3 pieces.

    Dip each in melted butter.

    Freeze until ready to serve. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 400° until brown (around 15 minutes).
