- 1 lb. fresh asparagus
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked egg noodles
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3 ??? flour
- 1 1/3 c. milk
- 5 to 6 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 c. grated or cubed Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Wash and trim asparagus.

2Cook in unsalted, boiling water until almost tender.

3Drain the spears, reserving liquid.

4Add 3 cups water to liquid and bring to a boil.

5Stir in egg noodles and cook until limp but still slightly firm.

6Drain well.
