Asparagus Ham Roll-Ups

- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 24 fresh or frozen asparagus spears
- 8 thin slices fully cooked ham (about 1/2 lb.)
- 1/4 c. bread crumbs
Directions

1Melt butter.

2Stir in flour and cook until thick.

3Gradually stir in milk and cook until bubbly and thickened.

4Stir in cheese, salt and pepper.

5Remove from heat.

6Place 3 asparagus spears on each ham slice.

7Roll up; fasten with toothpicks if necessary.

8Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; cover with cheese sauce.

9Sprinkle with crumbs.

10Bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
