- 1 lb. asparagus
- 1/4 c. pine nuts
- 1 to 3 medium garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 2 oz. freshly grated Parmesan
Directions

1Steam or microwave asparagus.

2Drain well and dry.

3In a food processor, pulse pine nuts and garlic with salt until finely chopped.

4Add asparagus and oil and pulse until asparagus is coarsely chopped.

5Transfer pesto to a bowl and stir in cheese. Serve over penne or other tubular cooked pasta.
