Asparagus Toast

  • 1 small can asparagus
  • oleomargarine
  • bacon, fried and broken (optional)
  • toast
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Drain the liquid from the can of asparagus and mix with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.

    Place asparagus in saucepan with liquid mixture and heat until hot and slightly thickened.

    Place scoop of asparagus mixture on the toast with bacon bits and small dot of oleomargarine.

    Place under broiler until oleomargarine melts.
