Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. white sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3 c. flour
- 1 lb. Quaker natural cereal (yellow box)
- 4 c. quick oats (oatmeal)
- 1 lb. melted margarine
- 4 eggs, beaten lightly
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 1/2 c. shredded coconut (optional)
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients.

2Add margarine, eggs and vanilla to dry ingredients mixture, one ingredient at a time.

3Mix in lightly (optional) raisins and coconut.

4Use about one heaping tablespoonful for each cookie.

5Press flat before baking.

6Bake at 325° for 15 minutes on ungreased baking sheet.

7Makes about 3 dozen large cookies.
