Ingredients
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 yeast cake, dissolved in (1/4 c.) lukewarm water
- 4 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Scald milk; add milk, sugar, butter and salt.

2Let stand until lukewarm.

3Add egg, yeast and 1 1/2 cups flour and beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.

4Add another 1/4 cup flour.

5Stir in rest of flour with a spoon until dough is stiff enough to handle.

6Let dough rise until double in size.

7Place on a lightly floured board and knead gently for 1 minute.

8Shape into rolls.

9Place on greased pan.

10Let rise until double in size.

11Bake 15 minutes at 350°.
