- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 8 c. flour
- 6 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 lb. butter
- raisins
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Heat milk with butter and sugar. Add half the flour, eggs and vanilla.

3Add rest of flour.

4Let rise until double in quantity;

5knead and let rise again.

6Wash with milk and egg on top.

7Bake at 375°

8for 10 minutes; then at 325°

9for 50 minutes.
