Bacon And Cheddar Beer Bread

  • 3 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 12 ounces, fluid Beer
  • 6 slices Bacon, Crumbled, Divided
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar, Divided
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter, Melted, Divided

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a bread pan and set aside.

    In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Stir with a whisk to combine ingredients.

    Make a well in the center of your dry ingredients. Add beer, half the bacon and about 1 cup of cheese. Stir until well mixed. Pour batter into your loaf pan. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of melted butter.

    Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining bacon, and drizzle with remaining butter. Bake for an additional 25 minutes or until browned.

    Remove and allow to cool in pan for about 5 minutes. Remove and let cool completely.
