  • 2 cans water chestnuts (whole)
  • 1 lb. bacon, cut in half
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 14 oz. bottle catsup plus 1/3 c.

    Make a day ahead to marinate.

    Wrap each chestnut in 1/2 slice bacon; lay in a 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Drain fat.

    Then mix and pour over the following: brown sugar, granulated sugar and catsup.

    Refrigerate overnight and then bake again for 30 minutes or until bubbly at 350°.
