- 12 slices bacon
- 1 c. self-rising corn meal
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.

2Reserve 1/4 cup bacon drippings.

3Combine flour, corn meal and sugar.

4Add eggs, milk and bacon drippings; stir until moistened.

5Stir in crumbled bacon.

6Spoon batter into greased muffin pans and bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.

7Makes 12 muffins.
