Bacon Onion Pie Recipe

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 8 slc bacon
  • 1 sm onion, thinly sliced
  • 6 ounce evaporated lowfat milk
  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. shredded cheddar (the sharper the better)

Directions

    Heat 5 Tbsp.

    butter and combine with bread crumbs in a pie plate.

    Press into a crust and chill 30 min.

    Cook bacon till crisp.

    Saute/fry onion in 3 Tbsp.

    butter till golden brown.

    Crumble bacon and layer bacon and onion in crust.

    Combine lowfat milk and Large eggs and pour over bacon and onion.

    Top with cheese.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.

    Let cold for about 5 min before cutting and serving.
