  • 1 frozen pie shell
  • 1 c. Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 8 to 10 slices bacon
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Prebake pie shell at 350° for 10 minutes.

    Fry (or bake) bacon until crisp; crumble into small pieces to yield 3/4 cup. Combine eggs, milk, nutmeg, onion, salt and pepper.

    Beat well. Sprinkle prebaked pie shell with cheese and bacon; pour in egg mixture.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

    Serves 6 to 8.
