Bacon Roll-Ups

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. packaged herb-seasoned stuffing
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 lb. hot or mild sausage
  • 1/2 to 2/3 lb. sliced bacon

Directions

    Melt butter in water.

    Remove from heat; stir into stuffing. Add egg and sausage.

    Blend thoroughly.

    Chill 1 hour, then shape into small balls.

    Cut bacon strips into thirds, crosswise; wrap one piece around dressing mixture and fasten with toothpick. Place on rack in shallow pan and bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until brown and crisp, turning at 1/2 point.

    Drain on paper towel. Serve hot.
