Bacon Roll-Ups

  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. herb-seasoned stuffing
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 lb. mild or hot sausage
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. sliced bacon

Directions

    Melt butter in water in saucepan.

    Add to stuffing, mixing well.

    Add egg and sausage and blend thoroughly.

    Chill for 1 hour for easier handling, then shape into small oblongs about the size of a pecan log.

    Cut bacon slices into thirds.

    Wrap each piece of the stuffing mixture with bacon and fasten with toothpicks.
