- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 purple onion
- 1/2 carrot, grated
- garlic to taste, chopped fine
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- olive oil
- mushrooms, olives and chili peppers (optional)
Directions

1Chop bacon and vegetables into small pieces.

2Cook garlic in oil on medium heat, then fry bacon in oil until soft; do not make it crispy.

3Drain excess grease and add vegetables and optional ingredients.

4Saute until half cooked.

5Add tomato sauce and simmer until vegetables are soft.

6Pour sauce over your favorite pasta. Bon appetit.
