  • 1 apple per person
  • 1 cube sugar or 1 tsp. sugar per apple
  • 1 Tbsp. butter for 4 apples
  • 3 Tbsp. water for 4 apples
  • 1/2 Tbsp. currant or prune jelly per apple

Directions

    Wash apples; remove core and peel.

    Place in deep Pyrex casserole.

    In center of each apple, place 1 cube sugar or 1 teaspoon sugar, butter (size of a nut), 1/2 tablespoon jelly of choice and small amount water.

    Cook for approximately 1/2 hour at 250°.

    Remove from oven; let cool.
  6. 6
    Decorate with red jelly.
