- 1 (15 oz.) can asparagus
- 1 pkg. saltines, rolled fine
- 3 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 c. liquid from asparagus
- 1/2 stick butter or oleo
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. sharp cheese, shredded
Directions

1Combine asparagus, crackers and eggs.

2Cut eggs in quarters. Make a rich white sauce using liquid from the asparagus, butter and milk.

3Thicken with cornstarch.

4Add 1/2 cup shredded cheese and a pinch of garlic is optional.

5Pour white sauce over other ingredients and stir.

6Roll about 6 crackers and sprinkle over top dotted with butter.

7Bake at about 350° for 20 minutes.
