  • 1 c. molasses
  • 3 onions, grated or finely chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 lb. lean ham or bacon, diced
  • dried beans

Directions

    Rinse beans, then soak overnight.

    Drain.

    Place beans in a bean pot or deep baking dish with the molasses, onions, brown sugar, dry mustard and bacon.

    Bake slowly at 225° for 4 hours.
