- 2 lb. Northern beans
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- salt (can be seasoned) and pepper
- 1 large onion, cut up fine
- 1 Tbsp. brown vinegar (takes away the gas!)
- 1/2 lb. bacon, side pork or pork steak (you can either fry this in small pieces and drain fat or put it in raw)
Directions

1Soak beans overnight in water.

2Remove any beans that do not look good.

3Then cook until soft pinch, about 25 to 30 minutes.

4Do not drain.

5Use this water to bake beans with.

6If too much, save as you may need to add more liquid during baking.
