- 1 lb. pea beans
- 1/2 lb. lean salt pork
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1Wash beans and soak overnight.

2Rinse beans again and place in a baking dish, covering with water.

3Stir in sugar, salt and pepper.

4Cut salt pork into 4 pieces and place on top of beans. Bake beans at 350°

5for approximately 4 hours.

6Check beans periodically, stirring and adding water as needed.
