- 1 lb. dry beans
- ketchup
- bacon strips
- molasses
- brown sugar
Directions

1Soak beans overnight.

2Next morning, put on stove in cold water and bring to boil.

3Blanch, then put on in boiling water with generous piece of butter and boil until soft.

4Remove from fire and add 2 tablespoons molasses and ketchup.

5Put in casserole and cover with slices of bacon.

6Top with 3 tablespoons brown sugar.

7Bake, covered, at 250° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

8If too much liquid, pour some in cup and add to beans when half done.
