  • 2 lb. navy, pea or Great Northern beans
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • molasses
  • catsup
  • bacon

Directions

    Wash and soak beans.

    Cook until tender; drain.

    Add onion, sugars, mustard and vinegar.

    Add enough molasses to color tan. Cover with few strips bacon; drizzle with catsup.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350°.
