- 4 c. peas or yellow eye beans
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1/4 lb. salt pork, diced
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. or more catsup
- 2 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. A.1. or Worcestershire sauce
- 2 or more c. boiling water
Directions

1Cover beans with water and let soak overnight.

2Drain and cover with water and simmer them long and slowly.

3Place a few beans in a spoon and blow on them.

4If the skins burst, they are sufficiently cooked.

5Drain and add ingredients.

6Put in crock-pot 6 to 8 hours on high.

7If in oven, bake at 250°.
