Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped very fine
  • 4 small onions, very thinly sliced
  • 4 Tbsp. salad oil or olive oil
  • 1 can pork and beans (1 lb. 14 oz. size)
  • 1 can lima beans *
  • 1 can red kidney beans (1 lb. 4 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • pinch of salt (optional)

Directions

    Drain kidney and lima beans. Add pork and beans and other ingredients as listed.

    Mix all ingredients thoroughly and pour into a 2-quart casserole dish.

    Refrigerate.

    When ready to use, place in a 350°
  5. 5
    oven for 1 1/4 hours.

    Bake, uncovered, if you prefer less juice.

    Stir well before serving.
