Baked Beef And Cabbage

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- oil for frying
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 small head cabbage, shredded
- 2 c. tomatoes, juice included or tomato soup
- 2 c. water
- 1 beef flavored bouillon cube
Directions

1Coarsely shred cabbage to measure 5 or 6 cups.

2Spread half in a large buttered casserole or roasting pan.

3Heat oil in frypan and add beef, onion, rice, salt and pepper.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, but do not brown (about 10minutes). Spoon meat mixture over cabbage.

5Top with remaining cabbage. Heat tomatoes with water and bouillon cube to boiling point.

6Pour over all.

7Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until cabbage is tender.
