- 1 medium head cabbage
- 1/2 c. boiling salted water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. breadcrumbs
Directions

1Shred cabbage very fine and cook 9 minutes in boiling, salted water.

2Remove cabbage; drain well and place in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.

3Melt butter in saucepan; stir in flour and salt until smooth.

4Add milk gradually.

5Continue stirring until moisture thickens.

6Pour this sauce over cabbage and sprinkle breadcrumbs over top.

7Bake at 325° for 15 minutes or until crumbs are brown.

8Makes 6 servings.
