- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
- 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 6 qt. popped popcorn
Directions

1Melt butter, stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

2Bring to boil stirring constantly.

3Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

4Stir in soda and vanilla.

5Gradually, pour over popped corn, mix well.

6Turn into 2 large shallow baking pans. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

7Remove from oven.

8After cooling, break apart.
