Baked Caramel Corn

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. light Karo
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 3 to 4 qt. popped popcorn
  • peanuts or pecans (optional)

Directions

    Bring margarine, brown sugar, salt and Karo to a boil.

    Boil 5 minutes.

    Then add vanilla and soda.

    Stir well.

    Pour over popped popcorn; mix well.

    Peanuts or pecans are optional.

    Use a large oven pan and grease with butter.

    Pour popcorn mix in pan; bake at 275° for 20 to 30 minutes.
