  • 3 free range eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup sultanas
  • grated nutmeg

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

    Then combine the ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk together until well mixed.

    Transfer to a 20cm ovenproof dish - the mixture should be at least 2 centimetres deep.

    Grate nutmeg over the mixture, be careful not to overdo the nutmeg, as the custard can tend to brown easily.
