  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 c. milk, scalded
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • nutmeg

Directions

    Beat eggs just enough to combine yolks and whites.

    Add salt and sugar and stir to blend.

    Stir in scalded milk gradually, but briskly.

    Add vanilla. Pour into a glass 8 x 8-inch pan.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg.

    Bake at 350° until knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
