  • 8 ounces, weight Macaroni
  • 1- 1/2 stick Butter
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces, weight Sharp Cheddar
  • Bread Crumbs

    Preheat oven to 350

    Cook and drain macaroni as directed.

    1)Melt butter in a sauce pan.

    2)Add flour and whisk until combined.

    3)Slowly add milk while continuing to whisk.

    Allow the milk to come to a simmer, be careful not to scorch it.

    It will start to thicken at this point.

    5)Add cheese and stir until melted.

    The sauce should be smooth.

    6)Combine the macaroni and cheese mixture in a Pyrex bowl or casserole dish.
