Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. (rounded) rice
  • 1 qt. whole milk
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
  • vanilla to taste
  • nutmeg to taste

Directions

    Put milk, rice, and salt in bowl and bake at 350° until almost thick.

    Then stir in sugar and vanilla.

    Bake few minutes longer. Raisins may be added if desired.

    Total baking time will be 2-3 hours; rice needs to be stirred every 15-20 minutes while baking.
