- 2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1 sprig thyme (or 1/4 tsp. dried)
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 3 sprigs parsley
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Melt half the butter in a heavy saucepan, cook the onion and garlic, until the onion is translucent.

3Add the rice and stir briefly, until the rice is coated with butter.

4Stir in broth and spices.

5Cover with a loose fitting lid and place in oven.

6Bake exactly 17 minutes.

7Discard parsley and thyme sprigs and bay leaf and serve.
