Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. vermicelli, broken in pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 1/2 c. long grain rice
  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1 can consomme
  • 1 can water
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste
  • parsley, onion, almonds (optional)

Directions

    Brown vermicelli in oil.

    Brown rice in margarine.

    Add consomme, water and bouillon cube.

    Salt and pepper.

    Put in casserole.

    Cover and bake 2 hours at 350°.

    Serve with meat of your choice.
