- 2 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti, uncooked
- 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
Directions

1Cook onions and garlic in skillet for 5 minutes.

2Add ground chuck; cook, stirring occasionally until meat loses its red color. Add salt, pepper and tomatoes. Simmer covered for 30 minutes, then discard garlic.

3Add chile powder and water.

4Bread half of uncooked spaghetti into greased 2-quart casserole.

5Pour on half of sauce.

6Sprinkle with half of cheese. Repeat layers.

7Bake, covered, 35 minutes at 350°; uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
