Baked Spaghetti

Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cans tomato soup
- 2 c. water
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 lb. uncooked spaghetti
- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Cook onion and garlic in shortening; add beef, stirring to keep meat separated.

2Mix in the soup, water and chili powder. Cook a few minutes longer. Break spaghetti into 1-inch pieces. Heap into a greased 2-quart casserole.

3Pour in the meat mixture and stir until blended.

4Cover and bake 1 hour (without stirring) in a 350° oven. Remove cover and stir.

5Top with cheese and cook 15 minutes longer or until cheese melts.

6Serves 6.
