Ingredients

  • 1 lb. squash, cooked and mashed
  • 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 c. grated cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • pinch of salt, pepper and sugar

Directions

    Cook onion, celery and green pepper until tender.

    Mix all ingredients (except cheese) and pour into casserole dish.

    Bake at 400° until firm and slightly brown.

    Top with cheese and cover with lid to melt cheese.
