- 2 lb. lean stew meat
- 6 medium carrots (bite size)
- 1 green pepper (1 inch pieces)
- 5 potatoes (bite size)
- 4 medium onions (bite size)
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca
- 1 slice bread, crumbled (optional)
Directions

1Combine in large kettle (do not brown meat as usual in stews). Bake in oven 5 hours at 250°, 7 hours is better (but at least until done).
